Today promises to be one of the most unforgettable moments of your journey as you uncover the beauty and grandeur of Machu Picchu, the legendary Inca citadel and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Your day begins early in the morning with a private transfer to the Ollantaytambo train station, where you will board the Vistadome Train (superior class) to the town of Aguas Calientes. Upon arrival, a short 30-minute bus ride will take you up to the citadel (altitude: 2,430 m / 7970 ft). Accompanied by your expert guide, you will explore the iconic “Lost City of the Incas.”

After immersing yourself in the mystique of this ancient wonder, you will return to Aguas Calientes by bus and enjoy a delightful lunch at Café Inkaterra, a charming riverside spot overlooking the Vilcanota.

Later in the afternoon, you will head to the train station to board the Vistadome Train to Ollantaytambo. There, a representative will be waiting for you with a sign bearing your name for your private transfer back to your hotel in the Sacred Valley.
