    1. DAY 1 Arrival in Lima

      We will pick you up from the airport in Lima and transfer you to your hotel in Miraflores. You should book your international flight on your own.

      Evening free.

      Overnight in the city of Lima.

    2. DAY 2 Half-Day Lima City Tour

      We will pick you up from your hotel and start your city tour going through the modern districts of San Isidro and Miraflores. We will enjoy sensational views of the Pacific Ocean from the “Love Park” Parque del Amor and visit the pre-Inca Huaca Pucllana, an astounding ancient pyramid-shaped temple located in the middle of the city. Immediately after, we will visit the old center of Lima, where we may appreciate and learn about the colonial origins of the city making a few stops at the San Francisco Convent and its famous underground crypts known as the Catacombs,  the Plaza Mayor, where the Presidential Palace and the Cathedral are located. Finally, we will drive through Plaza San Martin, unique because of its colorful history and colonial architecture. (duration: 4 hours). Return to your hotel.

    3. DAY 3 Cusco City Tour

      Pick up from your hotel in Lima and transfer to the airport for your flight Lima – Cusco (you should book a morning flight on your own).

      Upon arrival in Cusco, we will pick you up and transfer you to your hotel (Cusco’s altitude: 34000m/11152ft).  You will have plenty of time to rest, adjust to the altitude, and have lunch before your city tour.

      We will meet you at your hotel in the afternoon and begin visiting the Cathedral in the main Plaza, part of our colonial legacy. Koricancha or Temple of the Sun, the most important sacred Inca place within the city, which sheltered all Gods and Goddesses brought by the nations that integrated the Inca Empire. Traveling out of the city center, we will visit the enigmatic stonework complex of Sacsayhuaman, and what nowadays we call “Customs” in the Inca version: Kenko, Puca Pucara, and Tambomachay (duration: 4 hours). Return to your hotel.

    4. DAY 4 Sacred Valley Day Tour (altitude: 2800m / 9184ft)

      The Sacred Valley tour is available in the morning or afternoon. Pickup at your hotel. We will begin our visit in Pisac, a marvelous citadel with extensive agricultural terraces, with a cemetery of more than a thousand burial niches on a mountain wall. Later on, you can explore the historical artisan market located on the main plaza of Pisac. We will be stopping at the town of Urubamba for a lunch buffet.

      We will continue the tour in Ollantaytambo, an awe-inspiring construction on a steep mountain, build for military, agricultural, and religious control purposes as a watchtower over the Sacred Valley. Once at the top you will startle at a magnificent sight of the Sacred Valley. The tour ends at around 16:00 to 17:00 hrs. You will be instructed to walk on your own, to the Ollantaytambo Train Station (10min walk from the Main plaza) for your Expedition Train Departing at 19:00hrs, arriving at Aguas Calientes at 20:45. A hotel staff member will take you to your hotel in Aguas Calientes.

    5. DAY 5 Machu Picchu Day Tour (2430m / 7970ft)

      Your tour guide will pick you up from your hotel, and together you will take the bus up to Machu Picchu citadel early in the morning so you can explore the archeological complex at a less crowded time.

      After your tour, your can hike, on your own, the Huayna Picchu Mountain at 10:00 hours – 11:00 hours for 2 hours on average (400 people limit per day) and/or visit the Temple of the Moon, or the Machu Picchu Mountain at 09:00 hours – 10:00 hours for 3-4 hours on average (800 people limit per day) to admire impressive panoramic views of the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu (optional, not included).

      You may leave the archeological site on your own and enjoy lunch at the place of your choice (not included), take the bus back to Aguas Calientes (the last bus departs at 17:30).  You can do some exploration in the small town or visit the town’s Hot Springs (from which the town owes its name) and then head to the train station on your own, for your Expedition Train departing at 16:43hrs, arriving at 20:13hrs in Poroy (15-20min from Cusco). At your arrival in Poroy, a pickup person will be waiting for you with a sign with your name on it, he will transfer you to your hotel in Cusco.
