From April to October, there is less chance of rain. May and June are the coldest months and it could be snowy. The warmer months are September and October.
Concerning the time, the best time to do the trek is in the morning, when is less crowded and temperature is more pleasant.
This trek is moderate because of the steep inclines and is recommended for people in good hiking shape. Just take your time during the ascent, otherwise it is possible to rent a horse (not included in the price). Remember that you should spend some days acclimating to the altitude before the trek because you will be hiking at a very high elevation.
